Ming Ming's name isn't Japanese, naturally her name would be pronounced as 'Mingu Mingu' to be accurate to the Roman alphabet. But to make it easier for the Japanese to pronounce it and spell in Kanji it's pronounced as 'Min Min', and spelt ミンミン (Katakana) or みんみん (Hiragana). However it'll be spelt in Katakana because it's a foreign word (Hiragana is used for national words).

'Ming' has a similarity to the Chinese character 明, meaning 'bright' and made up of the two characters spelling 'Sun' (Ri) and 'Moon' (Yue). Chinese is the only origin I can find 'Ming' in, and hell does 'bright' suit her on many different levels; colourful, intelligence, cheerfulness. But then again 'Ming' is also written as 铭 for 'engrave'.

Her name is the same in all the Beyblade dubs. And, no, her family name isn't Love. As nice and fitting as it sounds, Ming Ming Love has never been officially stated as her full name.
